The above collage ("Life of the Party") is one of a series of "mash-ups," experiments in chance born out of my ineptitude with a new printer/scanner. After saturating the hell out of the image and playing with contrast and sepia tone to make the JPEG, I print out the image to see what I've got. But this time I copied one image on another. It looked good, so I scanned it and played with the color and contrast again. This image actually looks best next to the same image flipped horizontally. It makes a kind of cross between a Rorscach test and an Andy Warhol knock off.
