I made the below collage upon return from a recent summer trip to New England. I had spent a day with my old pal, Charles, and our talk swerved to Black Mountain College, Ray Johnson, and the possibility of an artist "cult" arising among a circle of friends and based on Olson's interest in Mayan glyphs. I wanted to send a postcard to Charles that spoke to this possibility, and that honored the connection we have always shared--as fellow "stealers of experience" and postal collagers.
